TAURINE RULES - ENERGY DRINK REVIEWS
Power Trip Mango Review

TUESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2007 – So Full Throttle Fury was the case study in what not to do if you’re going to do a fruit flavored but non-juice drink. Power Trip Mango is the exact opposite. It’s not really juice like the other mango flavors, but does pack a powerful juice flavor. The can plays off the Power Trip design preserving the design I have come to know and love while mixing in some orange clearly signaling that this is a juice flavored drink.

Now most of the other juice drinks mix up mango with papaya and orange, tangerine, lemon, lime, pear, even grapefruit. Power Trip Mango is original in that this is really a true mango flavor. It has that authentic mango flavor unadulterated by any citrus or papaya, pineapple or passionfruit. It's like Power Trip extracted the flavor of mango without the fruity thickness or sweetness that you would get if you actually tasted the fruit. It really tastes like you are eating a mango right down to the almost minty flavor of the mango rind. That’s something we haven’t seen before in a mango flavored drink and almost reminds me of a mojito. This would be great for making an energy powered mango mojito drink. There’s also a mild sweetness to it and a light carbonation that helps it go down easy. I find that this is a drink that makes for a nice way to mix up the usual Khaos or Rockstar Juiced. I also tried mixing it up on its own with vodka and it was great proving that this is a versatile drink when paired with almost any kind of alcohol.

HFCS, glucose, taurine (2000), caffeine (210), Vitamin C, glucruonolactone, inositol, ester gym, guarana extract, gum acacia, B Vitamins. Although the ingredients don’t blow you away, the drink sure will. I’m not sure why but I could not calm down after drinking it. This is the mango flavored drink of choice if you want to have the energy to party, stay up or kick things up a notch.
